i was at the fuel pump and a guy i have seen around town pulled up.... he had my favorite truck.... a good ol 1996 f-250 with a 12 vavle cummins in it....he was filling up and put in about a quart of 2 stroke oil in it... i asked him why he was doing that.... he said he gets an easy two or three mile per gallon better... how and why?? i have a 24v would that work in mine?

 

He may get better lubrication with the 2 stoke oil added to today's diesel, but he isn't getting a gain of 3 MPGs.

 

2 cycle does lube the pump and injectors but 3 mpg is wishful thinking.
