pull it off the valve and put a plug in the line. clamp plug in and go blow it up. when i plugged mine i jumped up to 18 psi of boost without the trailer hooked up(not much load) and said i seen enough and hooked it back up. anything over 12 psi is just heating the air to much you wont see much increase unless you intercool it.

We used to do that to the C12 Caterpillar engines. They did run a little better.........Atleast untill the headbolts stretched. I remember seeing 50 psi on the guage after doing that.

So your saying 12psi will gather higher dyno numbers than 18psi would ? Hmmm

Without an intercooler, yeah, maybe. Depends on the temperature of the air going into the engine. Higher boost causes more heat and hotter air is less dense, reacting with less fuel to produce less power. Prolly hafta get an adjustable wastegate, an intercooler, and turn up the pump to get reliable power. Maybe not, that's just my line of reason at 2 am

you cant just turn up a turbo ... no like an injection pump.... you can over speed a turbo.... and blow the impeller right into your intake ports........ then you will need a new motor and a turbo......... so in other words much more that 12 and your pushing your luck all together....if you just wanna blow it up .... get a bigger turbo or a wheel kit... that will do er in.....

Lot of variables... Mine has more performance at 7-8 than it did at 13-14 (about 3 seconds difference 0-60), but I also did that test back when it was 100+ degrees out and I have a retarded E4OD.
