Default Building a trans

So im pulling out a used e40d out of a crummy. Its in good shape. I don't have near enough money to buy a BTS or anything like that. So with my mods in my sig, what can i do to make this tranny last without destroying it. I'm thinkin a deeper pan idk what kind is the best for the money. Maybe a bigger transmission cooler. And then either the bully dog shift kit, or the banks transcommand?

your lookin at a few grand for that but if the tranny is in good shape and you dont run it hard all the time you should be fine untill you get the coin for the upgrades.

Just a cooler and a shift kit is not going to be a "reliable build"...

And a deep pan is not needed, it just adds more fluid to your 18qt system already...

Just hold off til it fails and save your pennies in the mean time...

All you need to make that e40d reliable is a tc and vb. Then some good tunes to compliment it.

Then don't... If it was that easy, we wouldn't have any troubles with these transmissions... There is more to it than a valve body and torque convertor. Sure, that's a good start but how bout the clutch packs, pumps, planetaries...
