Well a group of us went to Mille Lacs lake in Minnesota ice fishing this weekend. Fishing was pretty good until the weather turned on us Saturday afternoon. We were about 3mi. out when the wind picked up. We had three house that we were all in about 75 yards apart and when the wind started blowing out there it was a complete white out. we had temps down to 20 below with 30-50 mph winds. I had my truck and 2 duramax and one surburban and everyone of them got stuck at least once. But at least when I got stuck we were out screwing around and the guy's with the duramax's didn't see me get pulled out by a guy with a ferd!! But I did get to pull out 2 Duramax's all in all pretty good weekend except Sat. night was a real bitch out there. we kept going out and starting the trucks to make sure they would start. There is no place to find any cover out on that lake. The lake is about 17 mi wide and 19mi long. Never realized how bad it can get out there Good thing we had plenty of liquor to keep us going Took today off to clean fish.

 

yea I think brandy is just right for that kind of fishing,, or was it rye.........how many fish?

 

Ice fishing eh? Did you ever stop to realize that the ice in on the surface so you dont have to try to fish for it? You can just break it off with an ax or chainsaw and throw it in the truck. I dont think there is any ice down where you're throwing the hook anyway. I've never understood why anyone wants to fish for ice anyway. You can go down to the store and buy it, duh.

OH DAMN!! Guess I better spend this weekend out on the ranch to keep me right.
