Wobble?
ok I have a problem with my truck. I just started driving it more since I fixed my tie rod and it did like a "death wobble" going about 60mph down the road. I know this is very common on a dodge, and I'm told it's the traction bar that will cause it. I felt mine and it seemed loose or just worn out. Would this also be the cause on a ford since I've never heard of the death wobble on one.
well I changed all the tie rods and pitman arm. did an allignment and steering allignment. so and I know everything is tight under there. but ya I'm at a little bit of a loss of why it would be doing it
ya idk if it ever did it before hand cause I baught the truck and didn't get to drive it much since I'm away at school and finally got around to put the tie rods on since they were shot. and then tried driving it then and it just started doing it. but also ya my tires do need to be balenced which will take out the vibration, and I'll check my alignment again I think I need to get it toed in just a hair more
My 94 does it too and i cant figure it out. New ball joints, tie rods, track bar, wheel bearings are good. Nothing scares you like slamming on your breaks on the interstate with a loaded scrap truck behind you. I have jiggled, wiggled, and shook everything and it is tight.
ya and same with mine but the bushing on the track arm are shot so I'm gonna replace them and switch my back tires to the front and see if that helps or stops it. but ya it does give you a pretty good scare i was going 60 down a hill with cars coming
