i put a k&n intake and filter on my stock 05 lly and now i have intermittent power loss! some times i hit the gas and shes all there other time i punch it and its like im towing my house! do i need a tuner for the intake!?!

it finally through a light and it was the mass airflow sensor. i unplugged it and got the power back. tomorrow im getting a can of mas cleaner to see if that helps

 

yes, clean the MAF sensor. K&Ns can contaminate the sensor. if it keeps happening then you may need to go to an oilless

 

I had a similar problem when I installed my banks intake. I got efi live shortly after and had the maf fixed that way. I have a thread about it.

 

i cleaned the sensor up and it works great now!
