Default Dually conversion

Thanks for reading my post! (I'm not sure if this goes here, or in the potential owners department) I am thinking of buying a 96 ford 3/4 ton diesel from my neighbor, and I was wandering how hard a dually conversion would be with adapters. I know how to rotate tires, so is this something I could do? I know I would have to buy a bed so it would not look stupid. I was wanting to know if anyone knew of a good company that sold these adapters. I only tow 2 horses to the vet once a year and occasional small trailers of furniture. I know I can buy a set of dually rims at a junkyard, but I am open to internet links.

I'm pretty sure J.C.Whitney has fender extensions to adapt the current bed to cover dual rear wheels, probably some other sources out there too. If I remember right, they also have weird spacer kits to run standard rims in a dual configuration, looks unsafe and goofy as hell

I just like the look and towing stability of a dually, but the smoother ride of a 3/4 ton. If I do convert it, I would like a flatbed to haul protein tubs (about once or twice a month)and occasional round bails of hay. I guess what I am trying to say is I do not need the dually fender kit from JC, just adapters and a flatbed. Sorry for not mentioning that earlier.

I'm not sure on that model, but I believe the rims are hub piloted, so you should just need the appropriate rims and lugnuts, possibly longer studs. If you want to complete the look with the steer axle, then you'll need adapters, maybe check with the site sponsors.

Oh, and post some pics if you do get the truck

Thanks! I did not think about needing longer bolts, so I appreciate that! Anyone else?
