Default engine stand what kind?

looking for an engine stand that will hold the weight of a 12 valve. has anyone tried to put on on the heavy duty folding engine stand from harbor freight? need one to tear the engine down so one that rotates would be best.

I would want one that is bolted to both sides of the motor...

maybe something like this? Norco 78200 Engine Repair Stand

It's salty, and I'm sure there are other options out there. However, a 12V is pretty heavy.......

I totally agree. that stand is more for someone who would use it ALOT...Just was using that stand for reference. I am just thinking of a stand a little more sturdy than a "1-ender"

could always get the welder, and make a stand outta square stock and plate steel.... (takes a bit of time though...)

I bought my 2K lbs stand at Harbor freight, I can't remember the price but it was cheap. I havn't had a Cummins on it but it handles a Pontiac 455 without problem.
