Do the OBS powerstrokes have a long lead injector like the super dutys???

 

No. That was added mid year on the 2000 trucks. Then they had a TSB out for complaints about injector noise on the older trucks (SD trucks) to add it.

No OBS should have a LL injector for several reasons. One being the LL injectors are split shot and the second is the OBS do not suffer from the Dead Head fuel system the super dutys have.

 

thank you i just noticed the #8 injector had a different color solenoid on it but its a reman so maybe thats why the color is different?

 

it could be a reman.

 

A Long Lead injector will have LL stamped on the top...

But unless you have a superduty there is little to no chance of you having that.

 

i could not tell if it was a LL injector but i could see a faint R on it so i guess it was just the place who rebuilt it used a black solenoid
