Default tire clearance

im looking at getting new rims and tires...upgrading to 18 inch rims...and thinking about 295/70/18 nitto terra grapplers... the tire place said the tires will probably rub..is this true? i want to go bigger to take up some space in wheel well.. any opinions? right now im running 285/65/16. Thanks guys.

295/70/18 = 34.3x11.6/18

When I got my truck it had 35x12.5R17 Toyo M/T's on it. They fit, mostly. During a sharp turn the sidewall lugs would hit my control arms. Being almost an inch narrower, half inch on the inside, I think you should be OK. If nothing else, get a rim with a different offset so there is no chance of rubbing. Height wise you should be just fine.

He's right its all about the offset.

im not getting them for a few months...but just getting a feel for what you guys thought about the set up. But really appreciate the input RAWilliams...i know i can at least get opinions from you!!!

thats funny especially cause the tires tread is wore down like they drove it like that for awhile
