Anyone know where to get a wiring diagram for a 86 f350 diesel? Need it for the engine compartment. Some wires are missing and i know some are conected wrong because amp guage does not work. Any help is greated apreciated. thanks

 

in my experience, you probably wont find an accurate diagram, what wires are you trying to find? are you swapping in a different engine, or just trying to fix one? may be money in the bank to just re-wire certain components.

 

no not swapping engines its just the wire to fuel heater is missing ,lights and radio flicker, glow plugs dont work and it looks like a rats nest made of wires at the starter and glow plug relays. if i knew what wires were supposed to go where i could just cut amd make it look like a pro did it

 

hmmmmmm, hmmmmmmm.. it may just be that the wires that look like a rats nest are corroded, the lights and radio are powered off of the starter relay on the battery side, there should be few fusible links that split off to several circuits connected to the starter relay, i suppose you could use another starter relay with a push button to run the glow plugs.

 

i had to use a push button to get the glowplugs to work and for the rats nest it is where several wires have been cut taped up. some have had wires added or moved just to make the truck work here is a pic of some of it
