Replacement springs / shocks for 5" X-series Suspension
I've got a 5" X-series Suspension lift from Rough Country installed on my 2007 Ram 2500 MegaCab.
The truck sits an inch or two higher in the front than in the back, and that's mainly what I am looking to fix. I know some people like that look, but after about six months, it still bugs me - just not my style, I guess.
That, and the fact that it rides quite rough, what high-quality replacement springs/shocks are available to drop it down a little (1-2 inches)? I know I can raise the back, and I still may do that, but, honestly, it's a little higher than I'd like already. I have 35" tires that almost look too small.
I always hear that Bilsteins are the best shocks, but how can I determine what size to get?
As for springs, that's the most important part for lowering the front, and I have no idea on those. Is there a commonly available spring for what I want?

That's kind of an issue with those types of kits. They raise the vehicle to clear big tires and thats about it. To get a nice riding truck you need to get a tuned suspesnion. Have you thought about raising the back end? I know Carli sells a full leaf spring for the back that brings it up 4". They use this kit on their 6" kits. They also sell a mini pack version that eliminates the need to use your factory over loads. This helps out the un sprung weight in the back which in turn's softens up the back.
90% of the way a truck feels on the road is from the back end.
Shocks may help a little bit is still not going to make it ride a ton better.

Yer best bet is to pull out the current kit, sell it, and get a KORE kit. Kroeker Off Road Engineering. They have a kit that is made specifically for these trucks that include everything possibly needed. They work best with 35's. About the best ride you can get for a Dodge.
