Default Ford Towing Mirrors

I dont know if this is the right place as it is not technically "diesel" related, but they are found on ford diesel trucks as you all know!

My truck has the small non-towing, power mirrors.

I have a 2003 F250 6.0, and I was wondering if the towing mirrors bolt up with the exact same pattern as the mirrors I have? It sucks hanging my head out the window because i cant see past my trailer... I would like to hook up the power/heat towing mirrors on my truck but im not going to buy them until I figure if they bolt up or not.

And also is there a way to hook up the heating element also even though mine do NOT have the heated function?

Thank you in advance!

Yes they bolt right on. The heated part I believe you have to wire it up to a switch, try searching it.

thank you! im glad to get a fast response because i actually found a brand new set for only $140 power and heated!

also one more off-topic question :p

i am looking at buying a triple guage set (fuel pressure, pyro, and tranny temp) and i was wondering if the guages would still work if i swapped a new engine into the truck down the road..? im wanting the guages to moniter this engine until i get the money for a cummins :p

Yes. You just have to re-drill and tap for your pyrometer, and if you change transmissions you will have to re-do the trans temp. As for fuel pressure I don't know how those are ran my friend.

Is your truck standard? If so there's really no need for a trans temp gauge, and I would add a boost gauge in there somewhere.

Was $144 new? That's a great price, cheapest I found on c/r was $100 a piece used, no heat or signal
