guy in town selling his beat truck just want a second opinion truck is beat. dents one dually fender ripped up bed primed tailgate don't match tore up bumpers normal untaken care of interior kinda tore up. Cracked manifold. Guy said it was ran out of fuel a few times he was driving down the road and it shut off now it won't start just cranks. I told him needs lift pump and injection pump more than likely and costs a lot. 200k miles or so all stock. Also front drive shaft it gone he said his uncle broke it when he got stuck. I am thinking about staying clear he is asking 4k obo he says he has an offer for 3 he would take 3300 or so.

 

From the way you make it sound it sounds like it needs alot from how it was treated. Probably more once u look into it deeper. I think even paying 3 might be too much for it

 

Ya I was gonna offer him my older trans am gta as a straight trade and if he don't take it no big deal to me.

 

Sounds like a big project. If the budget is there then go for it. Doesnt sound very road worthy though

 

ya my car is only worth like 2 grand figured I could part it out for more than that worse case. But I doubt he'll go for it. Thanks I'm guessing I'll be not getting this one.

 

I think its worth it if you can get it cheap enough. Even if you had to drop some money into it. Hell the tranny is worth a fortune if its a nv5600, they don't make them anymore. That truck just in parts its worth probably $5000, engine, tranny, xfer case, front end, rear end.....
