Default Help w/2003 Dodge 2500

Hi Everyone
I am new to this sight and I could really use your help. My friends 2003 Dodge 4x4 will not come out of four wheel drive. He has not used 4 wheel for the pass year or more because of medical issues. So today he needed it to work and now its locked in four wheel. I have a Chev diesel and know nothing about a Dodge Diesel. Hope you all can help.
Thanks Retired

if its a manual, make sure he's in neutral.myne sometimes grabs if stuff isnt lined up exactly, so maby try rocking the truck a little when its in neutral so the gears can line up? sounds weird but it works for me...

This is also with the manual. I know its crazy but lift the shifter boot and make sure nothing has fallen in behind the shifter. I had one of the mounting bolts for the shifter come out and it wouldnt let the shifter move.
