I have had my 1984 F250 since 1985. It is 2x4. I found a F350 7.3 1989 4x4.
I want to use the tranny/transfer case off the 7.3, use my 6.9 engine and put the front and rear F350 running gear onto my 1984 F250 frame.

I am told the crank on the five speed manual 1989 may not aline with the 6.9 engine.

Your Thoughts ???

 

I put a 1983/1984 6.9-A engine in a 1991 and hooked the E4OD to it that was originally on the 7.3L without a problem.Just gotta change the fly wheel(the 83/84 engine was a manual).
