Default Silencer Ring

how would i find and remove the silencer ring on my turbo on my 94 12v and what does it look like

wow that doesnt seen so bad and with that removed the wistle will be louder? and that will not have an effect of boost levels in not woriired about EGT but want more boost

It will 99% more than likely not have any effect on EGTs or boost; rather will just give you a more pleasant louder turbo whistle

thats what i want is more sound is it eisier to remove it when the turbo is off the truck

You'll probably notice it more than I did when I took mine out being yours is a manual. Since mine is an auto it only really screams once I get the boost built up. My AFE filter made the most difference. Sounds like the turbo is inside the glove box when I really lay into it.

no it is actually really easy to remove I did it to a friends truck with a screwdriver the parking lot at work. it seriously makes the truck sound a lot better.

i took mine out mine was more of a pain in the butt then described!
once i got the clip started out it came easy.

getting it started i found easier to use 2 small flat head screw drivers the thinner the blade the better

ya i got it off and it sounds great it wasnt to hard needed two screw drivers to get retainer ring out
