Default 38R questions

So this guy is wanting me to do some mods on his truck, its an 01 1ton crew cab auto 4x4 and he's wanting a turbo air intake exhaust and som others done, I'm thinking of dropping in a 38R and I was wondering what kind of HP they were good too, and he has a ts chip but I'm going to have it reburnt and I've made my choice by who so no discussion there but that turbo will still do great without sticks right??

That Turbo should be good to around 450hp. That's what I'm looking at for my 99.5 with stock injectors. Should work great.

they have been known to hit 500+ but i think they are most efficient in the sub 400-450 range.

Okay, but I'm also putting a cold air intake, exhaust and having the chip reburnt. So with all that it should add plenty of power huh?

with all that and stock injectors you are looking at 300ish with the 38R, without the turbo 280ish

You will need injectors to really benefit from a Turbo upgrade on a 7.3
