Well, I was driving a long today, came up on a red light, so i was slowing down, it turned green before i got to it, so i hit the accelerator, and it made a really bad pinging sound, and started missing on at least 2 cylinders, I finished the trip home, with the bad ping and the missing, it was smoking REALLY bad and i burned 1/8 tank in less than 10 miles, I really have no idea what the issue is, but I'm gunna try to get around to pulling the valve cover ASAP

Sounds like you broke an injector nozzle...

White smoke or blue?

 

It was dark out and cold, so it looked whitish grey, and was definitely diesel smoke
How does an injector tip break off?
I probably have to pull the head to get it out?
Its missing on more than one, do multiple tips broke off?
