I have an 87 F-350 with a 6.9, my friend has a 7.3 out of his 02 F-350. Anybody try to put the mechanical injection pump from the 6.9 on a 7.3 or take the turbo stuff off a 7.3 and put it on the 6.9? Im brand new to this as im a cummins guy so i apologize in advance for my ignorance

 

No... You can't put the 6.9's IP on the Powerstroke. And I've never seen a Powerstroke turbo retrofitted on a 6.9...

 

a few guys have retrofitted the stroker turbo to the idi, but it is always a remote mount. most mount it back under cab/bed.

it is not a bolt on deal.
