Tires???confused!!!
Need new sneakers for the superduty 04 with 2.5" lift front and 3" block in the back. I have always run 35x12.5R18 but have never driven the truck in the winter except for this year.... I came across a set of extreme avalanche winter tires studded almost new for 600$$ installed but size is 275/70R18 question is this a deal? Will they look silly on my truck with the lift?? I would imagine they would b better than a wide tire that "floats" on slush or should i just save and spend coin on another set of 35's and what type?? Was thinking on e load rated bf AT's
Thanks for any advice guys

Yeah they're going to look a little silly, especially coming from 35's... The pic in my sig is of the same setup though, it's not terrible, just not as good looking as 35's (which I have on mine now). I believe the tires in my pic are actually 285/70/17 though. FWIW, I run my big tires all year.
When I had my Super Duty w/ a 6" skyjacker lift, I dropped from 36/14.50-16.5 swampers to 305/70-16 (33's) in the winter. It looked kinda odd, but, that wide of a mud tire on ice and snow covered roads was down right scary. That being said, I run my 315/70-17 AT's year round on my CTD.
i run my big tires all year without a problem but i doubt we get quite the snow you do but i had a half ton dodge with 37's mud grapplers and it didnt do bad as long as i was careful. no tires going to be as effective as just using caution and your head.
Thanks for the replies guys I strapped the tires on to see what they would look like, let's just say it looked "tippy"
think I will just go with 35's and drive accordingly!!! I can't wait to see what my truck looks like when it's finished just had shocks lift full Egr delete and warn hubs installed
