Iv'e owned a suburban, and other beasts, I also own a 02 F250 7.3 so I am fairly familiar with the 7.3 but I'm looking at Excursions, Recommendations 7.3 or 6.0? I know the 6.0 has issues especially with 03. I drove a 04 with exhaust and intake and was impressed with the power, May want to do some mods but main question is mileage and any major differences in suspensions, My 250 is really a rough ride (it does have 300K on it but been kept up)Owners thoughts are what I'd like to hear. If you want something to buy, and then drive for a long time with no other mods, go with a 7.3. If you dont mind putting out a little money for some mods, you can go with a 6.0.

 

My 03 F350 6.0 has had a FEW issues but it rides GREAT!!!(very, very smooth)... It has GREAT POWER! I love my truck and wouldnt trade it for a 7.3

 

my dream truck is a nv5600 cr cummins powered excursion..... but between 6.0 and 7.3 i would go for reliability over power.....7.3 gets my vote
