Greeting, I brought my 96 chevy 2500 6.5 turbo diesel into my mechanic to have the fuel filter changed. Since the the filter has been changed the truck surges or bucks.. Without any power n will end up jus dying. I can start the truck right back up and it will idle fine.. N drive fine as long as I dont get on it or go up hills. Little confused so is my mechanic. They have had it there shop for 4 days now. Any help would b greAt!

I don't think that the mechanic has tried that two are leaning toward electrically.. They still have it.

sounds like your lift pump is intermitting, or your have a bad oil pressure sensor. same thing happened to my truck and i went through the whole fuel system and found out it was the ops.
