Default rebuild kits for 05 dodge?

Hey was wondering if anyone had some good advice on a rebuild kit for my 05 dodge cummins?
Is there any performance upgrade I should do while I have the engine torn down, asking for any helpful advice.

Thank You, JJ

if it were me and i had the cash to do it i would stud the head and put some good valve springs in it and on the bottom end i would change to 12v rods with A1 bolts, stud the mains, and i would put a 181/210 cam in with new lifters, and total seal rings...other then that just the basic genuine cummins gasket kits

Also, make darn sure that the block is CLEAN!! Don't do a polish job on the crankshaft, have it reground. All new pistons, rings, bearings, cam and lifters as mentioned. Have the block bored out and re-sleeved to standard bore. Have the cylinder head checked out and repaired as necessary.

Go through everything possible.

other thing go thru the head too, we got one at the machine shop right now that to the eye looked fine but after it got there it needed 4 valves and 5 seats so have the head checked out for sure, and as bill said if the block is messed up have it fixed right

Hey there was thinking about just going with a remanufactured engine, just swapping my parts off of my engine on to a rebuilt . What do you think of this idea? And do you know any body who carries these?
Thank you JJ

they are very expensive at most of the places that do actually have them. if i had a good core i could build you one but all of my cores are older engines.
