Has anyone on here had anything to do with the Pacar Engines, are they a really a new motor or just a rebadged Cummins...Would like to hear any feedback on them...

Kinda what I thought..have yet to see one (other than pictures), or talk to anyone who has one. Guess with Cat out of the picture it opened the door for others

there big bore is not a cummins paccar has licensed the use of the mid range cummins the 6.7 and isc and i think the isL not shure on the L the paccar big bore engine is there new engine, kind of. they bought out a european truck manufacture i think it was call def of duf something like that and now produce there own engine as for cat it was a matter of meeting the emissions and reliability

It is NOT a rebadged cummins, it is a Paccar built and designed motor, and yes, they do use them in Europe, the company is DAF, its the Euro Peterbilt.

They use Cummins now, no Cats. ISL, ISX and 11.9.

So how are they holding up? Is their emission set up working OK? My older brother owns two KW trucks with the 3406E Cat engines in them, says he wouldn't own any newer Cat engines because of all the emission trouble they had with them, Cat should have bailed in about 2007

CAT is back ,they are partnered with navistar on there new engine/truck combo

485hp is pretty good power but the new engine 15l should be out soon

How are the pacar motors living? I've heard the M.B. engines run real well & are quite, but spendy to maintaine,and don't live very long. Diffrent plp i've talked with say the new detroits are the way to go, to bad they only come in Freightliners or Western Stars
