Hey guys I've been stalking this site and figured I'd join up.I have a 93 F350 4x4 with a 7.3 with 217,000 miles on it.I'm going to buy a turbo tomorrow I've got the guy talked down to $500.Is there anything I'd should be looking out for? Turbo is supposed to be good but I'm new to them I'm 36 and had a shop building custom stangs for over 10 years so I'm very mechanical I just know nothing about diesels. Thanks my name is Brad

 

make sure there isnt any in and out play as well as side to side. and oil or cobwebs are bad things to find inside the turbo! welcome! put up some pics!

they are a blast! what kinda turbo are you gettin? ats so im guessing aurora 3k? if so thats a good deal!

 

Yeah its a factory unit but has a aftermarket down pipe and something different with the turbo housing.
