Well, we got her up an running, but she is pretty rough, she doesn't idle or accelerate smooth. In all of the trying to get to the bottom of this, I did some swapping from my other psd. can the ebp sensor cause really rough idle and acceleration, or is it more likely to be my idm? Those are the only things that I swapped between the two to get my ex cab running again. Guess what I am really asking is what does the idm do when it starts to go out?

 

I don't think it starts to go out. Either works or it doesn't...

 

what might be the symptoms of a bad exhaust back pressure sensor? Started the first time yesterday, and just idled rough, turned up the high idle, and smoothed out. Went to drive around town, had rough acceleration, and would still idle rough. parked for a couple of hours, started up, and wouldn't rev at all, idle was really rough like she was missing on about 4 cylinders. turned to high idle, idle was smooth, but wouldn't rev at all. After a couple minutes of this, began to be able to rev.

Problem is, this is the same thing my other psd did the last time I started her, like over a year ago, and the only 2 things that I can place blame on would be the idm and the ebp sensor. only without the aid of a high idle setting.
