Default Leak from Fuel Tank

I have a 97 12 valve Cummins with a slight fuel leak coming from the top of the tank and running down the sides and dripping off the bottom, not sure if I need some sort of gasket or if it's something wrong with my sending unit. Any info would help, thanks.

We had the same trouble with our 92.It turned out that the sending unit lock ring had come loose. I think there a couple of vent hoses that fit into rubber grommets that could also break and let it leak or a broken return hose. Either way it is probably not hard to fix.
