1981 construction king extendahoe smokes some at idle smokes good under load or acceleration. Was looking at buying this backhoe it has the 4 cylinder diesel. It sounds like it may have a miss as well, deffinetely something weird going on. Just want to see if it's worth getting and doing some work to or what. thanks for the advice.

 

Sounds like either injection pump or injectors! What kind of smoke? White ( oil or raw fuel) or black???
