Default Turning Up A 3406

A buddy has a '85 Pete with a 3406B. He wants to turn up the pump. Anyone have any experience turning up these pumps? Pics and details would be great. A while back on cumminsforum someone posted a link to a website that had instructions on turning up every kind of pump imaginable. Anyone know that site?

Thanks in advance

Theres a cover on the back of the pump, take off, you will see two screws with jam nuts, loosen nuts turn screws out to desired position, all turned up!

On the 3406, I thought the only way you could turn it up was you had to replace all 6 of the sleeves and plungers in the IP?

Hey wyo, if you dont get it figured out let me know. There is a guy from belmont, he's is probably the best 3406 guy out there, he used to run his own shop, but he's driving his bull wagon now, real nice purple 379EH, you might have seen it around, I've got his number if you need it.

Or, I coulda posted so you would have found it easier. I also updated the 3406 section by adding another method.

I know this is an old post but I need some help. I need to reset the torque screw on my pump how do I do that? I don't know if I made the three turns out, not quite sure, so I want to reset it then start over. Do I turn the screw all the way in then back out?

I think the only way you could really reset it is know how many turns you made.

Either that or find a Cat tech or someone that happens to know how many turns out they were from the bottom from the factory
