Just finished dropping a 24V into my 01 Excursion. I bought the truck with a 5.4 and ripped it out as soon as i got it home. It took me and a good friend about 4 weeks to do the swap working whenever we had free time. Probably about 90 hours total. The truck runs very well, and I get a lot of awkward looks, especially from the 6.0 Excursion I spanked last night!!! I installed a 6.0 intercooler and starter, and got the adapter plate from Diesel Conversions in Montana. I also installed a Banks intake manifold, K&N air filter, and a turbo back MBRP exhaust and a full set of Autometer gauges on the pillar to monitor everything. As soon as I get the chance, I will post pics.

 

NICE man the 6.0s are a complete joke and im a Ford guy except for my 12v powers 1971 chevy

I would like to put a 24 valve in a 2000 2500 Suburban.

 

The guys from Diesel Conversions have it all figured out, I basically just followed the instructions. Got about 3000 miles on it since the swap. Still fine tuning some things though.
