Default 2010 Cummins or 2012 F-350?? Times ticking!

So we are between two trucks right now. Heres the low down on the trucks and what we are going to be using it for.

1) 2010 Dodge 3500 6.7 Cummins ~~ $40-45k @ 9k miles!
-17k in add ons, including wheels, bumper, amp research steps, automatic bed rail cover, already has the 5th wheel hitch, etc.

2)Brand new Ford F-350 ~~MSRP $55-60?
-Brand new BUT has a brand new diesel built by Ford (dont know what to think about that)

So we will be using this truck to pull our 4 horse gooseneck trailer with a living quarters up front. What do yall think about these two trucks? I am cautious of buying a Ford because this is the first year of the first diesel they have ever made. The Dodge is just broken in and a great price because it is "used."

How reliable are the current Dodge drivetrains? trans, engine, differentials, etc?
And same with the 2012 Fords?

Any help as soon as possible will be great because the Dodge will be going up on their ebay store very soon!

Thanks!

Oh and the Dodge still has the factory warranty on it!.

The interior of the Dodge is as good but I'm looking for first hand experience with the drivetrains of both the new Dodge and Ford.

I'm guessing replacement parts for the cummins might be cheaper due to the fact that the motor has been around long and technicians have been able to work out some bugs Ford having the new motor might not have some bugs worked out and replacement parts could be costly. Have also heard that you need to purchase urea for the Ford for emission control issues but not the cummins...these are my own opnions definitly not facts so take It for what you will and best of luck on your new truck

I have both a 2010 dodge and a 2011 Ford. I did the deletes on the Dodge, so far great truck with 31K

The Ford has great stock power and I prefer Fords auto over Dodges auto. Pulling the Dodge does better on fuel empty the Ford does a little better on fuel.

I really didn't like the 6.7 cummins with the emisson crap but without it is awsome, plus you have a exhaust brake.

The 6.7 powerstroke does run urea.

Urea is like $15 for a 2.5 gallon jug of it now, and you shouldn't have to buy it very often.

What is the $17k in add-ons on the Dodge? I highly doubt there is 17k worth, and even if there is, it's only worth what someone is willing to pay.

You can probably get great financing on a new truck as opposed to buying a new one too.
