Hey guy, been lurking for a while now looking for some info. So I sold my 05 hemi because I got bored with it and i knew what I was towing should not be being towed with a half tonne... So I want to move onto a diesel. I am a mechanic and have done quite a bit of modding to all makes and models but I can't stop wanting a dodge, it won't be staying stock for long, but won't be anything to crazy( for a while). I am in Canada and in my area I have found a few vehicles I like but don't want to break the bank(have to start looking at buying a house soon) so I'm trying to keep it under 20. I have a few choices but I can't make up my mind, I like the older 24 valves alot(.98.5-02) but I also like newer trucks, I'm trying to stay away from the 03-05s cause I want something different than my old truck. So down to business.
I can get an 07 with the 5.9 6 spd and 308000 kms for about 14500, truck is in great shape sand has no issues.
I can also get an 02 with a 6 spd and 146000 kms on it for 17500, like new, 6 inch lift, edge milage max chip, new clutch etc.
I can also get various 24 valves with 350-450000 kms for 7-10000. I really like both body styles and both trucks but can't choose. What would you guys do? Thanks in advance. I love the site and how helpfully you guys are!

What all do you plan to do with it? You want alot of HP one day or is it just going to be a tow rig/ daily driver? Like all trucks, both of the styles you are looking at have their weak spots. I love my 24v.
