my buddies got a 97 stroker and wants to intercool it i have a all aluminum intercooler off newer 7.3 does anyone know who makes a pipe kit and whats all involved in the process of putting an intercooler in a obs?

i believe the IC will fit. you will need to make up your own mounting brackets. you will need a spyder pipe off a early 99 7.3. as for the piping. you will probably need to do a little imaginearing. search on this site. there was a post on this a while back. it has a few pictures with it...

You can use the Superduty pipes with some modifications... There are no off the shelf pipes available for us unless you buy the whole intercooler kit for an obscene amount... Also make sure to pick up an Early 99 spyder..

both are excelent write ups i never thought of moddin the OBS intake Y. that's not a bad idea.
