Ford 3G Alternator
On the alternator the three prong connector that hooks to the voltage regulator has a wire that comes out and plugs into another terminal on the alternator. What is the terminal for? The piece of wire between the two has been spliced and I believe that it wasn't a good one and is causing the warning light to come on.
If I jiggle that wire it will go out.
Its the blue wire in the pic.

i'm not sure what that wire is but is there any other wires that are in the splice? i think you can take those plugs apart. you could replace that piece of wire so it's agood connection end to end.
