Default Ebpv problems!

I hooked it all up like on swamp diesel and they say to use 18 gauge wire. Well the 18 gauge caught fire and melted and then I tried 12 gauge and it melted that too. Has anybody ever has this problem or know how to fix it?
Please help

it sounds like you have a short. i did it just as it said on swamps and mine works fine. trace all your wires and make sure you don't have any crossed wires. make sure you are putting power to the grayw/ red wire that goes to the EBPV.

also, where did you mount the switch? the poles on the switch could be shorting out on something

My switch is in the plastic. That's good to know that it works with 18 gauge wire instead of me burning something up with bigger wire

i was thinking what the switch could be hitting behind the plastic. but make sure you got the diodes on the right way. re read the entire write up and triple check that everything is hooked up correctly.
