i have a hpop gauge and i was wondering how much pressure it should be putting out cuz i have no clue...during moderate and hard acceleration it puts out roughly 2500-3500 psi...is that normal? and i have a another dumb question but im about to do my first oil change..i know im a newbie LOL...but do i need to do anything with the HPOP when changing oil? dont be to harsh im still new to diesels!

 

The pressure will vary wildly depending on RPM and load (mostly load).

500 or so at an idle and depending on tuning, around 2800-3000 at full song.

 

HPOP oil.... that is a big one on here.. i would do a search on HPOP oil change.. you dont want to start world war 3 with the discussion on if you should or should not change your HPOP oil..

Warm up truck...

Drive down road...

Go to WOT for about 2-3 seconds...

Complete HPO change.
