Hello All

I have a 97 f250 crewcab I backed out of the driveway and it stalled (it never stalls) tried to restart and the glo plug light wont come on the tac dose not move when cranking and it wont let me read the trouble codes.

any help would be appreciated

Well even the truck shop cant get the computer to communicate Sooooooo looks like it is the computer and FORD has discontinued one for a 97 f250 but there is one in Oregon so I gess its rebuilt or aftermarket???

i have seen the harness es come lose down below the fuse bloke a coulpe of times you may want to check them they are usaly on the driver side at the fire wall hopefully this is the problem it will be a cheap fix if it is good luck

 

Hey thanks for the reply the mechanic that worked on it knows the trucks well he mentioned some wiring issues they develop I think it sounds just like what your talking about they had a computer from another truck pluged it in and started and comunicated with the code reader so the computer was sent to be repaired main problem I think they used the SLOW BOAT TO CHINA .
