you have air intrusion issues. are there ANY fuel leaks in either the feed or return lines? is anything wet with fuel?

thanks everyone for the warm welcome! Diesel Crawler I think you hit it on the head. I replaced the fuel filter and then put a fuel pump on it. I'd already replaced all the little fuel hoses between the injectors because they were rotten and wet. Didn't see any other leaks but today noticed a fuel puddle (small but big enough) under the truck near the back of the engine, must still be a leak some where. I'll go to work on it and let you know the outcome. thanks for the help! I know your right.

if it is at the bac k of the engine, dripping off the passengerside, then it is a leak on the top of the motor. probly still a fuel return line. if you only replaced the hoses, you only replaced half of it. under the plastic caps are 2 orings. they can leak also.

DieselCrawler, couple more clues. It seems to stop leaking after it's turned off for awhile and the leak is definitely above the fuel line that leads to the pump. hope that helps.
