open your hood and see if there is anything running from the intake to the exhaust and about cutting the muffler off i had that done and it was a waste of time and money no difference in anything at all better off deleteing everything

In order to get it to sound like a vp'd truck you need a 2nd gen exhaust manifold with a different turbo and a 2nd gen intake manifold. At least that is what I have read.

I just took a look and the only pipe I see is 3/4 pipe comin from intake to the turbo is only on the passenger side. I looked under and seen two converters with the muffler. I tryin to figure what to do before I leave Louisiana headed to Wyoming for work this Cummins is completely diff from my powerstroke I had straights on it with egr del bored heads the whole 9 and it's nothing like this I can't even find the egr valve. The dealer here knows less than I do so thanks fellas for the insite

Thoroughbred diesel has a smarty jr and h and s egr delete with delete stick.for around 850.00.that would get you started remove muffler as well and it sounds pretty darn good.
