Default chip????

how can you tell if a truck has been chiped or programed, i bought my truck used and everything is stock, but it smokes some wen you get on it, so it leads me to think it may have shom what of a chip, any way to kno for sure?

these truck smoke when they are stock. my dads 06 smokes and it is stock.

look under your hood for a chip...map sensor near your rail and injectors. if it has a chip youll see the extra conections and so forth.. or look near the steering wheel or by your knees...if you see a small hole with a switch they probably had one there at one point..the adjustable type. and as with tuner? get your ecm checked..not sure if there is any other way good luck

look on the exhaust manifold if the is a plug in it then it more than likely had 1
