Default seeking guidance from someone who knows

Im looking to buy a 2006 6.0L powerstroke F350 body wise the truck is fantastic. but i dont know enough about them to judge. its got 191,000 miles and he said he just got a new egr/oil cooler and replaced the #5 injector. he only wants $12,500 so it feels like a great deal. is this something i should do, or does anyone think i would start seeing a lot of problems soon. any advice would help.

Take it somewhere and have it looked at before purchasing. What mods does the truck have? Sometimes you get the guys running programmers without studding them and try to pawn it of on someone after they notice they are adding a gallon of coolant a month. (Headgasket failure)

Looks good from the outside but i would still have a competent mechanic give it a good run through before you take her home. Always a good rule of thumb when buying used vehicles.
