Heads are the same on the 7.3 IDI engines.

The turbo engines have Inconel exhaust valves but otherwise the heads are identical IIRC.

if i put a turbo on later is that going to damage the non turbo valves? or seeing as how i have her open anyways should i just swap out the stock valves for the "inconel" ones?

They're in there to better tolerate the heat.

never heard of any issues with non turbo heads. my 86 had the non turbo heads, never had an issue. my 94 is a factory turbo motor. you can install the turbo valves into your heads and end up with turbo heads.
