Default EDGE CTS--Just gauges? Anybody use it?

Its just the monitor right? Its cheaper than buying individual gauges...Im planning on buying a smarty but want gauges first. Would anybody recommend using this monitor for monitoring purposes? Thanks

If memory serves me correctly, you can't monitor fuel pressure with the Insight. You can add on a Pyro though.

I am running the CTS with a smarty. I have a pyro and turbo timer hooked up to it and it works pretty well. I am just not sure about trusting it completly as far as reading things like boost and rail pressure. But as for pyro and tranny temp and having an option to set alarms for these things it is nice.

I run the CTS. works great. Good fuel handling. The HOT setting is available and will dump the fuel!

The CTS can be used for just gauges. That is how i am using it right now. A turbo timer just keeps your truck running until it reaches safe egt's. It does read rail pressure and boost it reads it through the OBD port instead of manually, and with all of the computer trickery that goes on with programmers i would feel more comfortable with analog gauges for those two. But if you aren't running any major mods I think you will be just fine.
