Default IDI Problems

So out of nowhere the other day, my '90 F350 shut off. It was exactly like when you turn off the key, but I didn't. I am getting fuel to the filter, the filter is new, and I disconected the fuel line at the injection pump. There is a good amount of fuel getting to the pump. I then cracked the lines at the injectors and wasn't getting much fuel out. Does this mean the injection pump is bad or something else? Is there a way to test the controls to the pump?

make sure you are getting 12 volts to the front plug on the injection pump. this is your fuel shut off solinoid.
