what are the symptoms of needing a new torque converter? my tranny seems like its slipping but in every gear so my first guess was a new torque converter....any suggestions?

if you gas it hard and the rpms jump up and you do not go any where need tc is shot but how many miles you got on your trans. you might not want to just put a tc in it an the rest of the clutch packs are gone in the trans. drop the pan and see what it looks like.

Sounds like a torque converter. You can often hear the blades inside grinding when they go out.
