Default finally got my parts truck... now what?

so i have my 96 f250. love it still but i wanted to convert the front end to solid front axle so i found a early 99 f350 which was also a 7.3. only thing its not coming with is the block. so with that said what can i use on my 96. i was hoping to use the intercooler, turbo, front and rear axles. so what can i and cant i use. possibly injectors.

Stick with your OBS turbo. The injectors are pointless too.

The turbo is more or less an OBS turbo. The best thing for the injectors is to have them built into a set of hybrids. You can use the axles but it will take alot of work as you need to weld new hangers for the leaf springs. The intercooler you can use but the piping takes a little time to get it fabbed up right

Your truck has a Sterling 10.25 rear, the SD has a Sterling 10.5... No differance at all worth the hassle of the swap.

Front Axle is a D50, again, not really worth the hassle to swap over.

If you do one, you need to do both or you will have to run SD wheels in the front and OBS in the back.

Not to mention your going to the dumbest design in the world, Unit bearings.

Keep your eye out for a D-60 out of a OBS F-350.

If it is truely a E99 it will have AB injectors which are 120cc, a pretty good jump from your 90CC AA's. I would grab the injectors, the IDM Intercooler and Y pipe.

The turbo is not really an upgrade, its a .84 wastegated housing, a bastard mounting system that was only used for that year and will gain you nothing.

The injectors are NOT pointless...

OBS- tuned on stock injectors- 260hp...

E-99- tuned on stock injectors- 290hp...

Again, I think you should rethink the axles... Its not a cost effective upgrade.

If you swap axles you will need new spring perches, new shocks, new brake lines, new drive lines and new wheels... for what? You gained a D-50 front end with Unit bearings.
