what are some issue that would cause it to crank but not start. not my truck. going to look at it this week. he said he put a new injection pump on it and fuel filter and still know start. he said it is been sitting for over 6months because he can't find whats wrong with it. i am thinking it maybe air locked really bad or injectors bad. what are some things i can look at.

 

If it is a Ford powerstroke i would check the Glow Plug Relay make sure it works. The if its good but no wait to start and blows 30A fuse check fuel bowl heater. ANd search!!!! it would also be nice to know more about the truck hard to diagnose it further.

 

thanks you for the info i will check it out. its not my truck and i don't even know what year it is or how many miles are on it. just giving the info on what he told me.

 

May be the cam sensor on the front of the block

 

Could be a bunch of things... But I wouldn't listen to much that he says since he replaced the injection pump that our trucks do not have... Unless it's an IDI in which case you would need to know the year of the truck..
