well this is about my dads truck and he does work it hot shot driving so for the last 10k miles its been hooked to a trailer. and well at 150k the cp3 has went out at first i was saying lift pump but he got it at the dealership and they are saying its the injection pump he is wanting to know since now he is replacing the pump if it would be worth putting an air dog on the truck with filters and if it would prevent the pump from going out in the future and to make sure it wont through any codes since he has to worry about dot inspections at weigh stations i thank you for you help in advance.

 

better filtration is allways better for injection components so yes, also the lift pumps dont cause any CELs

 

i thought so to be honest with you has anyone ever seen a cp3 pump go out with as few miles before i mean 150k is extreemly low for a cp3 pump to go out from everything that i know

 

just depends on the quality of the fuel and the abuse, any part will fail if its not well looked after

 

i seen one of those pumps blow up like into pieces at 120k
