I think it would be a good price. I get 18-20mpg in mine (sensible driving, 14 with a 10,000lb gooseneck horse trailer) All I've done so far is cut out the soup bowl and it has dual 3" glasspacks. The ford ttb can be expensive to lift. Depends on how much lift and how you want to do it. Just need room for bigger tires? Go body lift. Wanna make it a crawler? Break out the piggy bank. All depend on your budget, desires and fab skills.

#1 (good deal? seems like a decent deal
#2 ( whats expected fuel mileage Mid-high teens
#3 ( wats good mods as far as pump injectors intake exhaust? Gauges, Hypermax intake, straight pipe, turn the pump up, 7.3 turbo idi injectors.
#3 ( is it really that high cost to lift that truck? If a regular cab, its got the Dana 44HD TTB(Ext. cab D50 TTB) which are kind of a pain to lift because you need pivot extension brackets and crap like that. If you really want to lift it, I'd swap a Dana 60 in it. If you can find a D60, they generally run about $1000, then you need to go through it and make sure all the parts are good and change fluid/seals, etc...Not cheap.
#4 ( will newer model ford wheels work on it? Super Duty wheels wont but any up to 97 will for Ford factroy wheels. Dodge and GM wheels may need to have the hub center milled out a little bit but the bolt pattern is the same 8 on 6.5".
any help or advice would be great as soon as i finish payin for my car its sold and i will buy this truck if yaw help me out. thanks!
